RHI, the world market leader in refractories, strengthens management team

RHI, the world market leader in refractories listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, has created and filled two key positions in the Group:

Ernst Stoelzel, 49, has been the head of RHI’s Raw Materials Division since the beginning of May and in this function directly reports to CEO Thomas Fahnemann. Born in Germany, Stoelzel is, together with his team, responsible for the Group’s entire raw material mining and processing, the supply of plants with raw materials, as well as the external purchasing and sale of raw materials, and thus for revenues amounting to EUR 1 billion.
Stoelzel has a degree in business administration and began his career with Hoechst, where he held national and international positions with increasing responsibility in purchasing, organisation, strategic planning, marketing and sales as well as general management. In the last 10 years, Stoelzel worked as business unit manager, managing director and supervisory board member for Invista, a Koch Industries company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fibres and polymers.

Robert Gregan, 44, assumed the management of RHI’s Business Development, Strategy, Mergers&Acquisitions department, at the beginning of May. He also reports directly to CEO Fahnemann and is responsible for setting the course and implementing the strategic positioning and business development, as well as the M&A activities that will be decisive for RHI in the future. Moreover, he holds a key position in the Group’s restructuring, which is currently being implemented.
Following his studies in business administration in Mainz, Gregan was initially responsible for the purchasing of certain product groups at Hoechst, e.g. for Hoechst in the USA. Then he took over the management of business lines for the international fibre manufacturers KoSA and Invista and was CEO for the special fibre producers Kelheim Fibres and Dolan. Most recently, he was the head of the business unit Non Wovens at Lenzing.
