Vitro Cristalglass launches a new nonskid silkscreen process for glass flooring

  • ScreenSlip® contributes to reducing accidents on flooring, ramps and stairs, due to accidental slipping by people or objects
  • The new product complies with the current regulations in Spain regarding safety and livability of buildings

Following its investigative and innovative policy for new products, Vitro Cristalglass, Vitro’s European affiliate, launches a new type of special non slide silkscreen called ScreenSlip®, designed to apply to surfaces destined for heavy people transit that avoids accidental slipping by people or objects.

“The applications for this new type of silkscreen process are numerous and quite varied including stairs, footbridges, ramps and floors among others”, affirms Alberto Gomez, Marketing Manager for Vitro Cristalglass.

This silkscreen process adheres to surfaces exposed to heavy people transit even with the presence of humidity, liquids and oily substances.

The product range is characterized by offering designs based on 5mm diameter points for different levels of opaqueness.

“The application of ScreenSlip® silkscreen guarantees maximum safety and contributes to the reduction of accidents from slipping; even under the most adverse conditions ScreenSlip® gives optimum grip and safe walking”, he details.

This silkscreen process conforms to the EN 12533 norms and complies with the Technical Building Code (CTE) which is the regulating norm that regulates the basic quality requirements that buildings must meet, including their installations, in order to comply with a series of basic requirements based on safety and habitability as defined by the Building Planning Law.

“The Screenslip silkscreen process must always be applied over TEMPLEX® or MULTIPACT® TEMPLEX®”, explains Gomez.

With this new product launch, Vitro Cristalglass continues to offer better products designed to satisfy the needs of its clients while contributing to the environment with productive processes that utilize the highest environmental standards.
