Vitro Cristalglass opens new facility in Europe

Vitro Cristalglass, Vitro’s subsidiary in Europe celebrated on June 10, 2004 the opening of its new facility in Náquera (Valencia), Spain, which has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology to fulfill the community of Valencia’s current and future requirements. By integrating its sixth production facility to serve the construction and architectural segment, besides the opening of its facility in Porceyo’s Industrial Park in Gijón in May of 2004, Vitro Cristalglass increases its presence in Spain and Portugal to firmly consolidate its position in Europe. “We feel proud about the opening of this new facility in Valencia, a strategic market for Vitro Cristalglass. The new plant located in Náquera in Valencia required an investment of about 4 million Euros, employs 35 people, has a surface of close to 4,000 square meters, and is equipped with a latest generation of double-glazing production line, as well as an intelligent warehouse capable of optimizing raw materials in stock. “The new plant start-up is in line with the Company’s business strategy of consolidating its position in Europe. Jose Monzonis Salvia, Industry and Applied Research Director, and Maria Bonilla Musoles, President of the Economy Ministry attended the event among other local and regional Generalitat Valenciana authorities.
