Vitrocar opens its new Operations Center

In order to strengthen its position in the Mexican marketplace in automotive replacement glass and aggressively consolidate its business relationships with the Mexican insurance industry as well as its broad base of individual customers, Vitrocar inaugurated today its new Operations Center located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

With the opening of this Operations Center, along with the startup of branch #175 in the chain, located at one side of the building, Vitrocar, Vitro´s subsidiary, launches a series of initiatives that imply important changes in the way it conducts business for the benefit of its customers and institutional clients.

"With this new facility it will now be possible to bring together into one location the different operational areas of the company in order to provide a more efficient service to our major customers, the insurance companies and their policy holders, while at the same time supporting the expansion of our network of national installation centers" confirmed Adrián Sada Cueva, Director of Vitro Automotive.

He went on to explain that the new Vitrocar Operations Center now vertically integrates the Customer Service Center through which the insurance companies and their policy holders will experience a significant improvement in the processes of: policy review, appointment scheduling on a national level, at home service, rapid and efficient communication between customers and their insurance company, after sale service, among other key benefits.

"Through the opening of this state of the art operating center equipped with the latest generation of IT equipment and software, Vitrocar seeks to be close to the marketplace and is consolidating in all of its locations in Mexico a professional and uniform service focused on the efficient service and installation of original factory automotive glass, with installation guarantees and in an extremely short timeframe that is highly competitive even at international standards."

"The new Operations Center uses latest generation IT systems that will not only support the growth of our national installation service network, through it being closer to and more flexible with the marketplace, but just as important will generate huge operating and administrative efficiencies that will translate into lower costs for our insurance company partners."

On another related subject the Director commented on the tremendous competitive advantage of Vitro: "our supply platform both nationally and internationally allows us to have the largest and most complete selection of products giving us a commanding competitive advantage and places us as the best option for our clients that is backed by an excellent standardized service image."

"Consistent with our strategy of maintaining and strengthening our market leadership in Mexico, the growth of our national network of Vitrocar installation centers allows Vitro to broaden its market coverage, creating value added for the business and enhancing brand awareness."

"In the glass replacement business Vitrocar is the best alternative, due to its larger selection of products with direct factory support, larger number of distribution centers that permit faster delivery times to the largest installation chain in the country with its recognized product and installation guarantees."

Vitrocar, as the largest national glass installation chain, represents for Vitro Automotive the best option to participate in the glass replacement market by reaching the end user. Currently it has 9 distribution centers and 175 installation centers throughout the country, maintaining its leadership with a market share of more than 50%. Its expansion plan in the replacement glass installation channel considers a 2 digit annual growth until year 2010.
