Molybdän-Wall: Strömungsbarriere für optimale Glasqualität in Schmelzwannen
Der Molybdän-Wall wird in Bassins von Schmelzwannen im Bereich nach dem Quellpunkt eingesetzt, um den Schmelzteil vom Läuterteil zu trennen und damit eine Kurzschlussströmung zu verhindern. Er wirkt dabei als Strömungsbarriere, die das Bodenglas zwingt, in den heißen Bereich des Quellpunktes aufzusteigen, dort letzte Relikte aus dem Gemenge aufzulösen und Läuterblasen aus der Schmelze auszutreiben. Damit wird eine bessere Qualität des geschmolzenen Glases bei vergleichbarem Energieeintrag und/oder eine höhere Schmelzleistungen bei gleichbleibender Glasqualität gewährleistet.
Der Mo-Wall zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Funktion dauerhaft bis zum Ende der Wannenreise uneingeschränkt gewährleistet bleibt. Der Wall ist für alle üblichen Glastypen und alle fossil beheizten Schmelzwannen mit und ohne Boosting geeignet.
