HORN baut Oxy-Hybrid-Wanne in Deutschland

Gerresheimer beauftragte den Glasschmelztechnik-Spezialisten HORN, die bestehende Wanne, auf neueste CO2-arme Glasschmelztechnik umzubauen. Dabei kommt die bewährte Oxyfuel-Technology zusammen mit dem hauseigenem E-Fusion Powerboosting als Hybrid-Technik zur Anwendung. Die neue Hybrid-Oxyfuel-Wanne für das Werk in Lohr am Main wird zukünftig Behälterglas deutlich nachhaltiger produzieren.

Unter der Bauaufsicht von HORN wird die neue Schmelzwanne zunächst mit vier Vorherden der HORN GCS301-advanced Serie im 1. Quartal 2025 gebaut, die für eine max. Tagesleistung von 390 Tonnen am Tag mit am Ende insgesamt fünf Produktionslinien ausgelegt ist.
